In a significant achievement, ISRO has successfully modified the orbit of the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s lander module, paving the way for its anticipated gentle landing on the Moon’s surface at 18:04 hours on August 23. Prior to the planned soft landing, the lander module, consisting of the ‘Vikram’ lander and the ‘Pragyan’ rover, will undergo thorough internal evaluations.

The second and final deboosting maneuver has effectively repositioned the lander module’s orbit to 25 km x 134 km.
